Pragmata's director already wants to do a sequel
With over 2 million copies sold since its release in April, Pragmata is one of the biggest hits of 2026. Since Capcom may turn it into a full-fledged franchise in the future, the question of a sequel is already being raised.
In fact, during an interview with GamesRadar, director Yonghee Cho and producer Naoto Oyama were asked about Pragmata 2. First, Oyama gave a somewhat diplomatic answer.
"I honestly don’t know what the future holds. Like you said, it’s only been a month since Pragmata went on sale, so honestly, what I’m focused on is just trying to get as many people to experience Pragmata as I can. I’m focused on Pragmata itself."
For his part, Cho was more enthusiastic.
"Of course I’d love to see a sequel. But I’m not the only one who decides, so unfortunately I can’t really comment beyond that."
It will obviously be up to Capcom to decide whether Pragmata 2 will be a thing or not.
