1047 Games has just announced a major strategic shift. The studio will be moving away from multiplayer shooters, which will obviously have significant consequences for its current projects.

Available in Early Access on June 24, EMPULSE is already ending development. One final map will be released, and the game’s price will be permanently reduced across all regions. This will also be the case for Splitgate: Arena Reloaded.

Starting September 3, both games will switch to peer-to-peer hosting. 1047 Games stated that these titles do not generate enough revenue to cover the costs of dedicated servers.
